People Make Glasgow
The School of Simulation & Visualisation (SimVis) at The Glasgow School of Art has been actively working in Virtual Reality for 20 years, and starting in 2018 will begin offering its first undergraduate degrees in this area. The BSc in Immersive Systems Design degree has two pathways focussing on 3D Modelling and Games & VR development. All students will have a common first year, introducing VR software development and 3D modelling - after which students will begin to specialise on their chosen pathway. The programme will be project and studio based, with learning structured around practical development projects across the four years of the honours degree. The Glasgow School of Art is internationally recognised for its excellence in the creative disciplines - one of the top 20 Art & Design institutions globally (QS), and the new undergraduate degree joins our existing portfolio of Masters programmes in Visualisation & Sound for the Moving Image.
